The fuses and relays for the standard equipment are located in the main fuse box in the footwell on the left-hand side of the vehicle. Otherwise, components or systems could be damaged. Only use fuses that have been approved for Mercedes-Benz vehicles and which have the correct fuse rating for the system concerned. There is a risk of an accident and injury. If you manipulate or bridge a faulty fuse or if you replace it with a fuse with a higher amperage, the electric cables could be overloaded. Always replace faulty fuses with the specified new fuses having the correct amperage.Always disconnect the battery before servicing high current fuses. Before changing a fuse, secure the vehicle against rolling away and switch off all electrical consumers. The yellow wire is the manual override, it connects to ground or battery negative via a switch (off-on), to allow the user to override the isolation function and to continue the use of whatever device (load) is attached to the 'Load +ve terminal', whilst being aware that the battery voltage is now less than 11V.The black wire connects to the battery negative-ground.The arrows in the additional image point to the studs in the rear of the isolator.Disconnects non essential loads from the battery to prevent start battery being discharged.Relay makes (or cuts-in) at 12.8 volts and breaks (or cuts-out) at 11 volts.Durite 12 Volts 80 Amps voltage sensitive make and break battery isolator relay.
